Both boys remain in custody after the alleged weapon was waved at children.
Two 15-year-old boys have been arrested by West Mercia Police following a firearms incident in Malvern.
Officers were called to Welland shortly after 4.30pm on Sunday 18 October after reports of two boys on an e-scooter who were in possession of what was believed to be a gun. The pair were located a short time later.
The boys were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Police say it was also reported that the suspects may have waved the weapon at a group of four young boys.
Detective Sergeant Polly Price said officers responded quickly and that the four boys are not thought to have been involved in the incident or to have been injured. Investigators are also looking to identify the boys and are carrying out searches of the area with the aim of recovering the suspected firearm.
The boys remain in police custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote reference 310i of 18 October.
