Two men were arrested in O Porriño after a beating in a parking area near an early-years school left a 33-year-old hospitalized. The Guardia Civil of Pontevedra also investigated a third man for alleged encroachment. Police said the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, 15 October, in the parish of Torneiros in the Pontevedra municipality of O Porriño. Investigators detained a 33-year-old man from O Porriño and a 36-year-old man from Mos as alleged perpetrators of a crime of injuries. The victim suffered several fractures and a perforation of a lung. Although he was later discharged, he first needed admission to Hospital Álvaro Cunqueiro in Vigo. Authorities said the third man is being investigated for alleged encroachment related to the incident. The case remains under investigation as the Guardia Civil continues to process the suspected facts and responsibilities.
