Two men were arrested in Madrid over suspected tirón robberies targeting elderly women in the street, the Guardia Civil said. The cases allegedly occurred in Majadahonda, Madrid. Investigators linked multiple attacks to suspects who chose older women and used physical violence to steal necklaces and chokers. In each incident, one suspect reportedly waited on a high-displacement motorcycle while the other carried out the violence and seized the jewelry. The pair then fled quickly using the motorcycle to cover their escape. The investigation began after the Guardia Civil was informed of several robberies committed in June and September. Authorities later found that the motorcycle used in the getaway was stolen. During follow-up checks, the officers located the motorcycle in Madrid city. On 8 October, the Guardia Civil arrested two men suspected of three counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, a vehicle theft offence and an offence against road safety. After being brought before the competent judicial authority, the suspects were sent to prison.
