One man is remanded in custody after tools and keys were recovered.
Police arrested two suspects after a break-in at Rue de la Gare in Bettembourg during the night of Thursday, 5 November, a police statement said.
Officers were alerted at around 2.15am after reports that two people entered a building through a smashed window, searched several rooms, and then fled.
A swift investigation led police to apprehend the two suspects near the scene. During the search, officers recovered items including tools and keys used for burglaries. Police also found and secured additional equipment believed to have been used in nearby break-ins.
Acting on orders from the public prosecutor’s office, both men were arrested and brought before an examining magistrate on Thursday afternoon. One suspect was remanded in custody as further investigations continue.
