Police arrested a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old in Florence after a robbery in which the victim was beaten and his gold chain was snatched. The attack happened in via Reginaldo Giuliani, where officers responding to the incident found a 18-year-old victim. He told investigators that three youths hit him with punches, tore the chain from his neck, and then fled, while he tried to chase them. During the pursuit, the victim was struck violently with a crowbar on his left side, sustaining injuries that required hospital treatment. He was later discharged from Careggi with a prognosis of ten days. Police tracked the group using the description provided and stopped two of the three suspects in via delle Panche. During the escape, the 18-year-old dropped the crowbar, which was recovered and seized. Investigators also recovered the stolen chain from the 19-year-old. The 18-year-old was reported for carrying an object suitable for offense. The arrests were made on allegations of aggravated robbery and aggravated personal injuries committed together. In the same week, police carried out drug controls that included cooperation with local police and the Guardia di Finanza. At Kid Yugi’s concert at the Mandela Forum, authorities reported 28 people for drug possession, as part of an order-and-safety service supported by the “fiamme gialle.” Elsewhere, officers arrested two men accused of drug dealing and possession with intent to sell. The seizure included over 5,000 euros in cash, about 46 grams of cocaine, roughly 71 grams of hashish, and a precision scale. Police also located and arrested a foreign man with an outstanding prison order issued on 6 October by the Vercelli public prosecutor’s office, for offences including sexual violence and stalking committed in 2024. He is required to serve a sentence of three years, four months and seven days.
