Vienna 16-year-old sprayed with pepper spray and stabbed
Police are searching for two suspects after the attack at a park on Nov. 3.
A 16-year-old boy was pepper-sprayed and stabbed in Vienna early on 3 November, police said.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at Troststraße in Vienna’s 10th district. The teenager met another youth in a park to settle an existing dispute.
After the 16-year-old sat on a park bench and waited, the other boy returned with a second youth. The pair began insulting him, and a new argument broke out.
Police said one of the suspects then produced a knife and a pepper spray. He first sprayed the 16-year-old and then stabbed him in the back. The second suspect also pulled out a knife and tried to injure the teenager as well.
The two suspects fled in an unknown direction. An immediate search by police did not lead to their capture.
The boy suffered irritation from the pepper spray and a small cut on his back. He was given first care by Berufsrettung Wien.
Investigators are still working on the case and continue to search for both suspects.
