VI. kerületi rendőrök still caught the suspected thief on the day of the break-in, Hungary Police said. Officers were called after the alleged theft from a sleeping victim’s home. The police located the suspect the same day and also recovered a significant part of the stolen valuables. Details of how the alleged offence was carried out were not provided, but investigators acted quickly and made the arrest the same day. Hungary Police said the suspect was found with much of the property taken from the flat. The latest status is that the suspected perpetrator has been arrested following the same-day police operation.
