A 17-year-old was arrested in Vienna-Floridsdorf after police say two men pulled knives during a verbal dispute at a language course. The incident took place on 19.10.2026 at 11:00. Police found both participants, a 17-year-old and a 24-year-old, along with the course teacher. According to the course staff, the men drew knives to back up their mutual threats. The 17-year-old briefly left the building after the argument and returned later. When officers arrived, the 24-year-old voluntarily handed over a Stanley knife that he had been carrying. A search of the 17-year-old at the scene did not find a dangerous item. During a subsequent search with a police dog unit, officers located and seized a folding knife in a rubbish bin outside the building. The 17-year-old was arrested on site. After questioning, he was reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Vienna and released on bail. The 24-year-old was also reported. No one was injured in the incident, police said.
