Police in Vienna-Penzing arrested a 39-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman after a loud dispute on the street outside the Leyserstraße police inspection. The incident happened on 3 November 2026 at around 23:30. Officers found the pair were life partners, but the man did not answer questions and instead shouted at police. The woman was also uncooperative and ignored officers’ instructions. As the confrontation escalated, the man became more aggressive. He was repeatedly told to stop his alleged wrongdoing, but he grew louder, clenched his fists, and advanced toward the officers in quick steps. Police detained the man on a preliminary basis. He resisted the arrest using physical force. After the arrest, the woman also became aggressive and tried to prevent officers from carrying out the detention. During the operation, a female officer was slightly injured. Both life partners were released after being preliminarily detained and are now to be prosecuted. They were reportedly put on record after the arrests, with the matter continuing for further processing.
