Police officers from the City Police Command Favoriten and the Vienna readiness unit ran a traffic focus operation in Favoriten from 16:00 to 19:00 on 22.10.2026. The main focus was the junction of Neilreichgasse and Einsenmengergasse, where officers specifically checked E-scooter riders. The operation led to 15 identity checks. Officers also issued 4 charges under the Austrian Motor Vehicles Act for speeding at 42, 44, 52 and 77 km/h. In the rest of the traffic area, police recorded 34 reports. In addition, officers issued 2 on-the-spot notices. Because many of those stopped were minors or young people, police also spoke with their guardians to inform them about the checks and their background. Latest status: the traffic controls have been completed, with identity checks, reports, and on-the-spot notices recorded by police.
