Vienna police seized 307 prohibited pyrotechnic items after stopping three teenagers near Floridsdorf railway station. The incident happened on 28.10.2026 at 13:30 in the 21st district, Bahnhof Floridsdorf. Officers from the Vienna readiness unit carried out a targeted operation against banned pyrotechnics around the station. During the patrol, police noticed three youths traveling on a train arriving from the Czech Republic. The teenagers were carrying a black rucksack and a black plastic bag, prompting an immediate stop and search. During the body search, officers found numerous prohibited pyrotechnic items. The items were seized. All three youths were reported to prosecutors: an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old, both with Austrian citizenship, and a 14-year-old with Indian citizenship. The police operation and investigation into the incident are ongoing.
