Police in Vienna are seeking two suspects after an alleged break-in at a business in the Währinger Gürtel area. The incident happened on 2 August 2026 at 21:37 in Vienna-Alsergrund. Two unknown people are suspected of smashing an entrance door to get inside, damaging the door in the process. Once inside, the suspect who entered allegedly took a mobile phone, a tablet and a small amount of cash. Before leaving, the same suspect also grabbed a high-priced bicycle displayed at the premises and fled towards Sternwartestraße. Photos of one of the suspects have been secured. The Landespolizeidirektion Wien is asking for the publication of these images, ordered by the Staatsanwaltschaft Wien. Anyone with information, including anonymous tips, is asked to contact the Landeskriminalamt Wien, Außenstelle Mitte, at 01-31310-43800.
