Instead, a police pursuit began and ended when the 33-year-old man brought the car to a halt on a railway embankment. Officers found that the suspect was under a court ban that, according to police findings, meant he should not have been behind the wheel. During the stop, an initial drug test indicated the presence of intoxicating substances in his body. The chase started after police noticed the safety belts were not fastened. Rather than comply with the control, the driver fled, forcing officers to pursue him until the vehicle was stopped near the tracks. Police have not reported a seizure of drugs or any other specific quantities. The man remains suspected of driving despite the court-ordered prohibition and of being under the influence of intoxicating substances as indicated by the preliminary test.
