A 21-year-old driver is set to face court after police linked his high-speed crash in Biskupiec to a near tragedy on a city sidewalk. Officers from the Biskupiec police station said the young driver drove at a high speed, then went onto the sidewalk, where he allegedly came close to a child riding a scooter. The vehicle then crashed through a fence before falling from a viaduct. Police said the driver was travelling with a passenger. Both men were reportedly sober. The case is now being handled through the legal process, with the driver to be tried in court. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the road incident.
