Interpol coordinated an international operation that led to the arrest of 95 people suspected of producing and distributing child sexual exploitation and abuse material. The six-month operation ran from March to September 2026 and covered 17 countries across Latin America and Europe. Authorities targeted platforms and cryptocurrencies used to groom children, coordinate abuse, connect offenders, and receive payments for illegal content. Of the suspects detained, 89 percent were male and 11 percent were female. Among those arrested are the parents of a five-year-old victim, accused of producing and selling abuse material of the child online. The case is based on an international effort coordinated through Interpol, with arrests made during the operation’s span and the investigation continuing as part of the broader crackdown.
