Lithuanian man arrested trying to leave with stolen Toyota
Bartoszyce court ordered 3 months in custody after three charges.
A 33-year-old Lithuanian man was arrested at the border crossing in Bezledy after he allegedly tried to leave the country with a stolen Toyota.
Police from Bartoszyce carried out investigative steps to build evidence for a custody request. The man was charged with three offences: handling stolen property, using forged documents as authentic, and using registration plates not assigned to the Toyota.
The case went to the Bartoszyce District Court, which ruled the detention request was justified. The court ordered the man held for 3 months.
His latest status is that he remains in custody following the court’s decision.
