Carabinieri arrest 2 men in Maddaloni for domestic violence
One violation was caught by an electronic bracelet, another attack was stopped after a 112 call.
Carabinieri in Maddaloni arrested two men after domestic violence alarms led to immediate police action.
The first case unfolded in the morning in Caserta province, when an electronic monitoring system on a 42-year-old man triggered an alert. He was already under a court measure ordering him not to approach his ex partner’s home area, with an electronic bracelet in place.
Officers moved quickly to via Napoli near the weekly fair and found the man at the victim’s address, breaching the imposed perimeter. He was arrested on the spot and, following procedures with the judicial authority, placed under house arrest at a relative’s home.
Hours later, another emergency call mobilised the carabinieri. A 68-year-old woman, who had reported ongoing abuse by her 40-year-old son living with her the previous day, asked for help after being assaulted again inside the home.
Police arrived after the 112 call and stopped an assault in progress. The 40-year-old was arrested and taken to the prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where he was held at the disposal of the judicial authority.
Both arrests were carried out following interventions by the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Maddaloni, acting to protect vulnerable people and prevent further escalation.
