Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk said police have arrested a suspect over a reported assassination threat aimed at him and his deputy. The alleged plan was stopped after an alert reached authorities. Interior and Administration Ministry spokesperson Karolina Galecka said police received a report about a possible attack on Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz. The threat was treated as serious, and security services were ordered to act. Government spokesperson Adam Szlapka said the issue was reported to Tusk at around 07.00 local time. Tusk was in the capital, Warsaw, at the time, and officials say he continued his official duties. Tusk later thanked police officers in a post on X for their quick and decisive response.
