The Guardia Civil has detained three people after raids dismantled three drug-selling points in Villamartín, in three neighbouring homes used for retail distribution. The operations were carried out simultaneously on 22 October, with officers searching three adjoining properties where they seized cocaine, hashish and marijuana, along with more than 2,000 euros in cash. Investigators said the homes were allegedly used to store, process and distribute drugs, mainly cocaine, which was then sold street-level. During the searches, officers found cocaine in rock form and also doses already prepared for distribution. The probe began months earlier after the Guardia Civil’s Villamartín investigation unit received information about several points of sale concentrated in one area of the town. Surveillance and inquiries led officers to three houses on the same street. Police said the properties were allegedly occupied by members of a family clan and that the three homes shared an inner courtyard, allowing movement between them and supporting the operation across the different locations. The activity took place close to the Hospital Comarcal de Villamartín, a nursery, a child protection centre and a secondary school. Officers said the repeated presence of people going to buy drugs had raised concern among local residents. After obtaining judicial authorisation, the Guardia Civil carried out the coordinated entries in the three homes to prevent drugs or evidence being moved or hidden between locations. The raids involved officers from units including Security Citizen services and members of the canine unit. The three detainees were investigated as alleged people responsible for the local distribution points, and the simultaneous action closed all three enclaves under investigation.
