The WBCJ Project and the SIRIUS Project, both implemented by Eurojust, organised a joint workshop in Montenegro focused on cross-border access to electronic evidence held by service providers. Held on 8 to 9 October 2026, the meeting brought together prosecutors and competent authorities from the six Western Balkan partner states. The workshop focused on how authorities can handle electronic evidence when it needs to be accessed across borders, particularly where the data is in the hands of service providers. Eurojust said the workshop was part of the two projects’ ongoing work to support cooperation in the Western Balkans on cross-border criminal justice issues.
