Escapetruck campaign runs in Wrocław to prevent human trafficking
Police and partners staged prevention activities with local youth in Wrocław.
A nationwide campaign against human trafficking, the "Escapetruck" project, returned to Wrocław under Hala Stulecia "pod Iglicą" as Polish and Dutch police partners targeted the issue of forced labour and exploitation, including sexual exploitation.
The next edition of the prevention initiative was carried out by Polish and Dutch Police, the Dutch Kingdom Embassy in Poland, the Reshape Foundation, the University of Wrocław, the Border Guard, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. Activities were supported by IPA Dolny Śląsk and involved local Wrocław youth.
The project focuses on raising awareness in an innovative and unexpected way about trafficking in human beings and the forced use of another person. Organisers highlighted that exploitation can take different forms, including sexual exploitation, and reached out through the campaign in the Lower Silesian capital.
The project is a prevention effort and no arrests, charges, or court steps are reported in the available information.
