Two men are due to appear in separate courts in Northern Ireland after being extradited back from overseas, police said. A 32-year-old man was extradited from Dublin to Northern Ireland and is set to appear at Laganside Court in Belfast on Friday, October 30. He is facing charges relating to threats to kill, possessing a bladed article, and threatening and abusive behaviour, with incidents said to have taken place in the Belfast area in 2022 and 2023. He is also due for sentencing over a sexual assault offence. Police said the man was arrested in the Dublin area on August 24, 2026, and his extradition proceedings concluded on his return to Northern Ireland. A second individual, aged 27, was extradited from Norway to Northern Ireland on Thursday, October 29. He is expected to appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court later on Friday and is due to stand trial for possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis. The offences are said to have taken place in the Holywood area in 2024. Police said the 27-year-old was originally arrested in Aalesund, Norway on June 2, 2026, with extradition proceedings concluding the day before his arrival. An International Policing Unit spokesperson said two people will appear before courts in Northern Ireland following successful extraditions.
