Voghera police arrested a 19-year-old after finding a cache of firearms and extremist Nazi symbols in his bedroom, including swastikas and SS emblems. The arrest followed an investigation that led the Digos to uncover illegal weaponry and propaganda material inside the home. The seized items included a FN Herstal pistol model 1906, a second FN Herstal pistol model 1910, and an automatic firearm with Moroccan markings, plus multiple bladed weapons including two sabres, several knives and daggers, a punching iron, an axe, and a hammer. Investigators also seized a cosh and a toy pistol missing its red plug. In the same room, police found reproductions and manuals of Hitler and Mussolini, along with national socialist flags bearing a swastika, a skull mask, and propaganda featuring a Celtic cross, swastikas, and the symbol of the SS. The 19-year-old is being investigated for propaganda and incitement to commit crimes for racial, ethnic, and religious discrimination. The operation was carried out at the end of a Digos antiterrorism investigation conducted by the Digos of Milan, with support from the Digos of Pavia, and it builds on an earlier April 22 arrest of another extremist from the Pavese area, who had been placed under house arrest.
